You might be wondering why you’d bring a “healthy” child to the chiropractor?  It’s a common question we’ve heard. Here’s the good news! We know how to answer it!

Gray’s Anatomy textbook page 4 states, “The nervous system controls and coordinates the human body.” For this reason, we want to make sure it’s ALWAYS working at it’s best! If you’re wondering how to know if it is, don’t worry, that’s what we analyze and what we’re trained to correct. You might become aware that the nervous system isn’t working as well as it could be when you notice that you’re “healthy” child isn’t as “healthy” as they could be, maybe it’s a colicky baby with insomnia, maybe it’s a two-year-old with ear infections (whether chronic or not), maybe it’s a six year old that still wets the bed, maybe it’s a 13-year-old with asthma. Maybe your hope is that your child is the healthiest child possible. Maybe you’d like the ability to give them greater opportunity to maintain health and wellness. Maybe you’d like to give them the advantage in fighting off illness, infection or thinking more clearly.

A clear nervous system surrounded by a structurally sound spine is the way to achieve this. Whether it’s trauma from the birth process or slips, falls (learning to walk), bike riding accidents, your child is likely to lose their natural alignment in these circumstances. There is research that confirms this to be true!  This site quotes Dr. Abraham Towbin best, “The birth process … is potentially a traumatic, crippling event … mechanical stress imposed by obstetrical manipulation-even the application of standard orthodox procedures may prove intolerable to the fetus … most signs of neonatal injury observed in the delivery room are neurological.”

What if we leave these neurological insults without correction? Is it possible that we have continued to see a downward trend in the health of our nation’s children because we have left this uncorrected?
